Travis Barker of Blink-182 discussed his thoughts about working with his oldest son Landon’s band in a recent interview. The drummer performed on “Friends With Your Ex,” his son’s debut single. Travis discussed his experience working for Landon in the most recent People interview, saying it was a pleasure to do so.
Like Father Like Son. Landon signed with DTA Records to release his debut single, following in his father’s footsteps. The song, which the artist describes to as “a mess up little love story,” was thought to be about his personal relationship with Charli D’Amelio, his now-formal girlfriend. Working with his son was an honor for the percussionist. About working with him, he stated: “It was truly incredible to collaborate with Landon.” It has been a dream come true to see him grow up, performing and writing songs since he was a young child.
Travis contributed to the song’s production and played the drums. He went on: “He requested that I assist him with his song, ‘Friends with Your Ex,'” Playing drums and producing it was an honor. How Landon Began His Career. It was during Landon’s songwriting for Machine Gun Kelly’s “Die in California” that Travis noticed his son had musical talent. Machine Gun Kelly’s sixth studio album, “Mainstream Sellout,” features the song, which Travis co-wrote and produced. Following the success of his TikTok account post featuring a song excerpt, the song was finally rerecorded and Landon secured a record deal.
