Slash’s Girlfriend Discovers Axl Rose’s True Reason For Cancelling GN’R Shows

Guns N’ Roses had to cancel their September 9th gig in St. Louis last week. Since the show’s discontinuation, a few rumors have circulated among fans. While the official reason for the cancellation was ‘sickness,’ rumors claim that the show was canceled for a different reason. Slash’s girlfriend, Meegan Hodges, recently discussed the subject on her Instagram story, addressing the rumors. She clarified in the post that there is’someone who is sick,’ and that the show would be rescheduled. Hodges revealed: “The truth is that someone is ill and unable to work.” There is no plot… The performance will be rescheduled for November. It’s a terrible letdown for everyone. These guys put on a three-and-a-half-hour show. They resemble superheroes. Give them some space. They cannot assist when someone is unable to perform due to illness. Best wishes.”

The rumor originally circulated on Reddit. Axl was upset that the band only sold 25,000 tickets out of 40,000 available, according to a now-deleted post. In addition to Hodges, the band issued an official statement regarding the cancellation. Axl Rose himself apologized to the supporters in a tweet. The band stated that ticket holders will be able to use their tickets for the rescheduled event, and those who are unable to attend will be refunded. The band is currently on the road for their next gigs, and there appears to be no cancellations. See below for the statement and tweets.
