One of the two DC films set in an alternate universe, The Batman 2, has fans genuinely excited. Several people were amazed by Matt Reeves and Robert Pattinson’s debut appearance as Batman since they gave the Caped Crusader a very realistic portrayal.
The movie takes the spectator inside Arkham Asylum toward the conclusion and hinted at Barry Keoghan’s Joker as one of the upcoming villains. A whole footage that was cut from the movie was later published by Matt Reeves. The Joker, though, might be developed in The Batman 2’s background while another evil takes center stage; it’s likely that this other villain has now been identified.
According to a recent source, Matt Reeves is creating a new antagonist for The Batman 2.
In the new Penguin series on HBO Max, viewers will witness characters like Penguin and others gain control as Gotham is currently in ruins as a result of flooding. Penguin was therefore thought to be a villain in The Batman 2. Yet according to a new Deadline rumor, Matt Reeves and company are creating Clayface so that he can play a significant part in the upcoming Batman movie.
Oswald Cobblepot, Edward Nashton, and Clayface are rumored to appear with them, though no actor has yet been cast for the role. Mr. Freeze was first mentioned as the upcoming bad guy, but Reeves is attempting a villain that has never been featured in a live-action film.Many people would be intrigued to see how Clayface might fit into Matt Reeves’ setting of a realistic Gotham, given that he is a villain that demands CGI.
Additionally, it’s possible that Clayface won’t be the major antagonist; instead, he’ll be a supporting bad guy like Carmine Falcone in The Batman. In that scenario, Clayface might collaborate with Barry Keoghan’s Joker.Clayface has appeared in two notable DC comics series. The first one was known as Basil “Baz” Karlo, a B-list performer who once played the villain Clayface. Later on, he turned into a murderer.
However, Matthew Hagen, a treasure hunter who comes across a radioactive pool of protoplasm and changes into a clay-like substance, is the major character that fans have been following. He can change his appearance whenever he wants thanks to his transformation, but the drawback is that he has to return to the protoplasm source to recharge and employ his abilities once more.
From The Batman 2: Clayface
Given that the latter Clayface is unquestionably the more well-known of the two, it is safe to assume that he will appear in the future movie. Nonetheless, it will be interesting to see how Reeves works him into the narrative. Having a large CGI beast like Clayface wouldn’t fit with the concept considering that this reality makes one believe that Batman may actually exist.
Reeves might choose a more realistic strategy in which Clayface would likely be given the capacity to alter his face and appearance. Meanwhile, James Gunn’s DCU might decide to explore a larger CGI version of the character in The Brave and The Bold or another Batman-related project.
