Robbie Williams on Radiohead Ignoring Him

Robbie Williams spoke with The Sun ahead of his upcoming performances at the Royal Estate of Sandringham, where he showed interest in working on a cover project with Radiohead. He stated: “I’d like to do a cover of ‘It’s Raining Men’ [by Weather Girls], but I’d like Radiohead to create a backing track for me.” But they have not responded. I keep asking, but I get no response. I’m not sure. I might approach Trent Reznor.” While Williams is preparing for his new project, Radiohead has been on break since their last tour in 2018. The band members are currently working on various projects.

They last collaborated in 2021 to re-release the albums ‘Kid A’ and ‘Amnesiac’ for their 20th anniversary. However, the band has plans for new work in the future years, according to drummer Philip Selway. Recently, he told Prog Magazine: “We’re always talking about something.” But, aside from the ‘Kid A’ and ‘Amnesiac’ projects that we’ve been working on, we’re not sure when we’ll be able to work on a real collective project. We’re discussing it, but for the time being, everyone is doing their own thing.” Radiohead released a studio album named ‘A Moon Shaped Pool’ in 2016. You can hear it below.
