Richie Sambora recently posted on X that he was sending happy energies to Bruce Springsteen amid health difficulties that led the singer to postpone his forthcoming gigs. When one of his admirers shared a photo of him and Bruce Springsteen and spoke about the Boss’ health problems, the guitarist reposted the message with the following words: “May God bless you, brother… You will return. Thank you for everything you’ve done for us. Richie, take care.” On September 7, E Street Band used their official X account to announce the cancellation of their upcoming September gigs and to continue disclosing the lead singer’s condition, writing: “Mr. Springsteen is being treated for peptic ulcer disease symptoms, and his medical advisors have advised him to postpone the remainder of his September shows.” They also included a statement from Bruce Springsteen, which stated: “We’re devastated to have to postpone these shows here on E Street.” First and foremost, we apologize to our wonderful Philadelphia supporters, whom we missed a few weeks ago.
We’ll be back to take up these shows and more. Thank you for your patience and support. We’ve been having a terrific time at our gigs in the United States, and we’re looking forward to more. We’ll be back shortly. Bruce, love and God bless you all.” Springsteen and the E Street Band will return to the stage on November 3 in Vancouver, British Columbia. In February, they began their 2023 tour in Tampa, Florida. After three months of touring throughout the world, they began the second North American leg of the tour in August.
