Paul McCartney is excited to return to Mexico City. The music legend will perform at the Foro Sol in Mexico City for the first time in six years on November 14th as part of his international Got Back tour. The concert was advertised via a video on McCartney’s Instagram, and the details were later verified by Mexican promoter Ocesa.
“I’m very excited to say that I’ll be going to Mexico to give some concerts with my Got Back Tour in November,” McCartney said in a statement. “I have very good memories of Mexico.” We have a terrific time every time we go. So let us make more amazing moments… let us rock… let us roll. Let’s throw a party! Party!” According to the same announcement, tickets will go on general sale on Saturday, September 2nd, at 2 p.m. Central Mexico time. Citibanamex cards will be able to purchase tickets one day earlier, on September 1st at 2 p.m. local time, via www.ticketmaster.com.mx.
McCartney has been on and off the road with the Got Back Tour for over a year, beginning on April 28, 2022, in Spokane, Washington, and continuing across the United States. Australian and Brazilian events have also lately been announced for October through December. His latest gig in Mexico City occurred in 2017, when he played in front of 48,300 fans at Estadio Azteca. Following the horrific earthquakes that hit the country in September, it was an emotional night. McCartney showed his support and observed a minute of silence.
The Beatles co-founder recently collaborated with Ringo Starr on Dolly Parton’s rendition of their classic “Let It Be.” The track also featured Peter Frampton and Mick Fleetwood. The song will be on Dolly Parton’s next Rockstar album, which will include an extraordinary lineup of guests on 21 great covers and 9 original tunes.
