“Honey (Are You Coming?)” by Mneskin is a new rock anthem

Mneskin has released a new hard-edged rock song, “Honey (Are U Coming?).” The song comes soon after their latest album, RUSH! “Honey (Are You Coming?)” begins slowly but gradually accelerates to a tempo more recognizable to the Italian rockers. Frontman Damiano David sings about a crazy night out and invites the listener to partake in the revelry. It’s five o’clock in the morning. We’re feeling so fantastic it’s almost scary / It’s five o’clock in the morning / I’m designed for you, we can’t deny it, he sings. “We wrote the song right after the last tour, when we still had a lot of energy from touring and traveling,” said bassist Victoria De Angelis in a statement (via NME). “We wrote it between London and Los Angeles.” We’re very pleased with the outcome, which we believe is novel for us.

” “It’s the story of someone who doesn’t have a gender or anything, and you get to choose who it is,” David continued. “Find someone else, and they can see in their eyes that there’s some sadness that they feel out of place, and it’s an invitation from one person to another to join them in this new adventure, not knowing what they’re going to find, but just enjoying the adventure.” Maneskin is expected to perform on the MTV stage at this year’s Video Music Awards. Their performance at the 2022 VMAs was ultimately banned owing to De Angelis’ wardrobe malfunction. David eventually chastised the network for suppressing De Angelis’ bodily parts but not his own, which were clearly visible. “It demonstrates that there are still many, many prejudices against rock bands and women,” David stated at the time. “There is a lot of work to be done, and we try to do our part.” Demi Lovato, Stray Kids, Karol G, Anitta, Doja Cat, Kelsea Ballerini, and TOMORROW X TOGETHER round out the roster of 2023 acts.
