Mammoth WVH recently appeared on an episode of NBC’s ‘Today’ Show, where Wolfgang Van Halen discussed his presence on the ‘Barbie’ soundtrack, Mammoth’s newly released album ‘Mammoth II,’ and Wolfgang and Andraia’s approaching wedding. Wolfgang mentioned that their wedding song will be ‘In Your Eyes,’ and that Peter’s album ‘So’ is meaningful to both him and his father: “One of our favorite artists is Peter Gabriel.” We’re going to see Peter Gabriel perform before our wedding because he’s on tour right now and he’s one of our favorite artists. So is one of my all-time favorite albums, and it was one of my father’s all-time favorites. So I’ve just always had a connection with Peter Gabriel and his music, and my fiancée is also a fan. So we couldn’t come up with a better song.” Wolfgang spoke with The Messenger on August 2 about Eddie Van Halen tribute gigs and whether or not the rumors are genuine.
He also stated that he does not believe Van Halen still exists as a band: “Every day, just being alive and in the music business is a tribute to my father.” If I have to figure out how to live without my father, I believe people can figure out how to live without Van Halen, which is impossible. Dad isn’t here, and Van Halen, in my opinion, no longer exists. The music and the legacy are there, and I’ll be here to help push that forward, through things like dad’s guitar and amp company, and in any other manner I can.” Mammoth WVH is presently on tour, and Nita Strauss will join them later this year.
