Following a brief sabbatical following Taylor Hawkins’ death in 2022, the Foo Fighters announced their comeback to live performances this year with a globe tour and festival dates. However, guitarist Chris Shiflett is reluctant to discuss much about the band, as he recently told Riff Magazine: “Anytime I talk about anything Foo-Fighters-related, it just becomes clickbait, and people take it out of context.” Shiflett has plans for several solo projects in addition to the Foo Fighters tour. He is slated to release a new album called ‘Lost At Sea’ in October and will perform a few Bay Area performances immediately following the band’s upcoming dates. So, during the recent discussion, the guitarist also discussed his performances with and without the Foo Fighters, saying: “There’s a lot to be said for big venues and festival performances.
” Those are insane, and the energy blasts in your face like a jet engine. But it’s not the same as attempting to win over a crowd in a bar with a handful of people. They’re all quite distinct experiences, and I enjoy them all.” Shiflett performed six gigs in the United Kingdom and Ireland in March to promote his new album. During the shows, he played some songs from ‘Lost At Sea,’ and he even used fan film from the shows in the music video for ‘Damage Control.’ You can see it below.
