Arnold Schwarzenegger, despite his racy relationship with Rocky Star’s ex-wife, stepped up to support Sylvester Stallone after his son’s passing, saying that “he has become a terrific buddy.”

Both Sylvester Stallone and Arnold Schwarzenegger are well-known figures in the entertainment world with illustrious careers. The drama does, on occasion, spill over from the screens and find a home in the real lives of the actors. Arnold Schwarzenegger and Sylvester Stallone experienced a similar situation when the latter had an affair with the former’s then-partner.

All of that drama, though, was put on hold as Sylvester Stallone dealt with one of the most trying periods a parent can experience. Sage Stallone, the son of Sylvester Stallone, passed away from a heart attack back in 2012. Arnold Schwarzenegger offered Sylvester Stallone and his family his condolences at this time and promised to be there for them if they ever needed support.

Arnold Schwarzenegger offered Sylvester Stallone his support.

Sylvester Stallone was understandably upset by Sage Stallone’s death in 2012. No parent, including Stallone, can ever be ready to receive such tragic and soul-shattering news. Arnold Schwarzenegger sent a message in support of Sylvester Stallone at this trying time. He declared,

Bottles of prescription medication were discovered on the scene, according to the Los Angeles coroners, and tests confirmed sedative hydrocodone in his system. But, Sage Stallone’s friend claimed that drugs played a role in his passing because the actor wasn’t “the kind of guy” to commit suicide. His cause of death was later determined to be a heart attack, and a toxicology report found no evidence of excessive drug usage.

After the sad event, Stallone paid it forward by supporting Schwarzenegger during his breakup with Maria Shriver. After Shriver learned about Schwarzenegger’s connection to their housekeeper, the two broke up.

The Bromance Goes On

Schwarzenegger was going to stand next to Stallone again after this. When the actor failed to win an Oscar for his work in Creed, it was one of the biggest surprises of the ceremony. For those who are unaware, Stallone returned as Rocky Balboa in Creed. Yet, the worthy Mark Rylance for his work in Bridge of Spies received the award.

Fans were understandably outraged for Stallone, but someone was even angrier. In order to show his pal support, Schwarzenegger used Twitter. Despite what transpired at the 88th Academy Awards, he posted a ten-second video saying that he was pleased of Stallone and that he was the winner in his eyes.”To me, you’re the best, no matter what they say,” he wrote as the caption for the photo.
