Accuser of Marilyn Manson Forcefully Drops Sexual Abuse Case Following “Threats And Harassment”

In a rape case filed by a woman going by Jane Doe, Marilyn Manson has negotiated a settlement. The musician was charged with rape in the lawsuit, which was scheduled to go to trial the following week. According to court records, the notice of settlement was sent to the Superior Court of California, County of Los Angeles, on Wednesday, as reported by Yahoo.com. In the following 45 days, Jane Doe’s lawyer, Adam Wolf, will also submit a request for the case to be dismissed. Serious accusations of rape and deprivation of necessities like food and sleep were brought against Manson by Jane Doe. She added that Manson had threatened to hurt her if she told anyone about the assault.

Jane Doe mentioned experiencing several sorts of intimidation, such as threats and harassment, when discussing her choice to settle: “I was fully prepared for trial and never in a million years thought I would ever settle, but over the past two and a half years, I have silently endured threats, bullying, harassment, and various forms of intimidation that have grown more severe in recent weeks,” the plaintiff claims. She asserted that Manson was there during the tense deposition procedure and that it was done to cause emotional distress: “Marilyn Manson was present during my deposition, and I was made to respond to seven hours of hostile questioning while he watched me across the table. This is said to almost never occur since it is cruel, and the main motivation would be to frighten and cause emotional misery to the victim.

According to Jane Doe, her goal was not financial gain but rather justice. She voiced worries that if the case went to trial, she may lose her anonymity and be subjected to public victimization. Howard King, the attorney for Manson, revealed to Rolling Stone that Jane Doe took an insurance payment that only covered a portion of her initial claims. King also emphasized how earlier accusations against Manson had either been withdrawn without recompense or only partially resolved. Manson has been the target of similar charges before. Esme Bianco, a ‘Game of Thrones’ actor, and the singer resolved a sexual assault case earlier this year. In her lawsuit, Bianco described numerous instances of abuse and said Manson forced her into impermissible sex activities.

Actress Evan Rachel Wood accused Manson of assault in February 2021, which is when Manson’s problems started. Bianco was the first to file a lawsuit after many other women made comparable claims after she made her statement. Manson has maintained his innocence throughout all of these accusations. Additionally, he has filed a lawsuit against Evan Rachel Wood, charging her with slander, inflicting mental distress, and “online impersonation.”
